Meet the Trainer: Grace Floreske, KPA-CTP

Hi, my name is Grace! I am the owner and trainer at CK9. My love for dog training began in college when I volunteered as a puppy raiser for a service dog organization, however I have always had a passion for dogs in general. I raised 2 dogs from that organization and both have become amazing service dogs for their recipients.

I spent 5 years working in veterinary medicine before switching gears to turn my hobby and passion for dog training into a full time job.

Knox, my Doberman who is pictured throughout this site, was an incredibly important part of my life and training journey. Living and training with him taught me so much. He forced me to get creative and taught the importance patience, consistency, and the importance of building a strong relationship with your dog. Many of the lessons he taught me continue to influence the way I approach training today. He will always be a special part of CK9’s story.

I now have a young poodle puppy, Denahi, who is my service dog in training.

My dog training methods focus on teaching clients how to effectively communicate with their dog while prioritizing the relationship between dog & guardian. My approach utilizes primarily positive reinforcement, which is largely backed by science as an effective and appropriate method of learning
